book two : Lost Girls by Angela Marsons

Book Title: Lost Girls
Author: Angela Marsons
Series: D.I Kim Stone #2
Genres: Psychological Thriller, Suspense, Mystery, Crime Fiction, Horror

I read this in eBook format.

A little late to review this, but even though I read this a while back, I can still tell you every detail. That, to me, is the sign of a good book.
I can remember each emotion I felt throughout reading this book. I was on the edge of my seat. I even shushed my Father at one point for talking to me, draining this book of everything it had, being exhausted by the end of it, like I’d been there with the characters.
Two little girls go missing. Two families, brought even closer together with the grief, worry and panic set upon them. But what happens when they must make a decision? A life changing, earth shattering decision. Which girl should be sent home? Which girl means the most to their parents? How far are the parents willing to go to get their child back?
Once again, DI Kim Stone is a bad ass character that had me fist pumping the air with her antics and her brave persona. For such a difficult character, she is honestly one of my favourite to read about. It’s refreshing to not have an open book woman, someone with depth and someone who just keeps on giving, even three (now four!) books in.
Let me just say, I love a twist. And the twist at the end of this book made me gasp. Loudly. It was rather embarrassing. I was chuntering under my breath and my one eye was squinting with annoyance at what I saw on the page! I almost believed I was reading the news, not a novel!
Angela Marsons continues to impress me with each book and I cannot wait for the next installments in DI Stone’s stories.
I give this book a 5 out 5 stars.
Simply incredible. A must read, believe me.
