I read this in book format.
I was sent a copy of The River At Night in return for an honest review.
When the lovely Joseph approached me to see if I would like to take part in the blog tour for The River At Night, I immediately accepted. The book sounded incredibly unique with a plot that made my eyebrows raise.
Would I enjoy a book like this? Something slightly different to what I would usually go for.
The answer is YES.
The River At Night is the story of four friends, each with their own lives, careers and heartbreaks they would like to forget for one short holiday together. An action packed, adventure of a lifetime few days to get their adrenaline going is exactly what they need to clear their minds. But with no phone signal, no other people and limited supplies, what’s the worst that could happen…?
This story had me hooked instantly.
With Win, the main character and reader point of view, a relatable woman who is happy to attend the adventure trip but she also has her doubts and concerns, much like we all would, I imagine, it was refreshing to read from a point of view that was believable and admirable at the same time.
I, myself, would much prefer to be at home with my dog and a book, curled up with a blanket with central heating and a fridge nearby. And a working toilet. So, I immediately liked the character of Win.
The story itself is heart stopping and stressful, in the best kind of way. A book you simply cannot put down until you’re done with it completely.
I honestly don’t want to give away any spoilers so this review will have to be left there because, trust me, you will just have to read this one for yourselves.
The River At Night is officially out in the world and available to purchase in most book stores worldwide, or, for all of you Kindle lovers, I do know that it is on Amazon for a bargain at £1.49!
Huge thank you to Bloomsbury again for my copy and a big well done to the fabulous Erica for this stunning novel!
